Payments NZ has recently introduced a range of changes and updates to our API Centre governance arrangements, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement and the principles of good governance.
These changes are now reflected in our updated API Council Charter, better aligning it with recent amendments to our Terms and Conditions. The updates clarify that certain duties have been delegated to the Independent Director Committee (made up of our independent directors), rather than requiring the full Board.
The API Centre Terms and Conditions govern the framework for the use of our standardised APIs. Under the revised Charter, the Independent Director Committee now approves amendments to these Terms and Conditions.
A further update also clarifies that the API Council, who is responsible for day-to-day governance of the Centre, is now also responsible for developing, maintaining and publishing operational standards.
